Abstraction
  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the second quarter of 2024 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached 16.30 trillion rupiah, while at constant 2010 prices it reached 9.41 trillion rupiah.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the second quarter of 2024 experienced growth of 4.30 percent when compared to the second quarter of 2023 (y-on-y). The increase in the creation of added value occurred in most business field categories. The largest source of economic growth occurred in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries category. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the largest source of economic growth came from the Household Consumption Expenditure component.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the second quarter of 2024 experienced growth of 7.24 percent compared to the first quarter of 2024 (q-to-q). When viewed from the business field side, the largest source of economic growth was in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries category.

  • When viewed from the expenditure side, the largest source of economic growth was the government consumption expenditure component.

  • The cumulative economy of Sulawesi Barat in the second quarter of 2024 (cumulative of the first and second quarters of 2024) experienced growth of 5.13 percent when compared to the cumulative of the second quarter of 2023 (c-to-c). On a regional scale in the Sulawesi Maluku Papua Region, the highest economic growth in the second quarter of 2024 y-on-y occurred in Papua Barat at 21.11 percent, followed by Maluku Utara at 10.76 percent. Meanwhile, Sulawesi Barat experienced growth of 4.30 percent, ranking eighth out of ten provinces.
