Abstract
The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the first quarter of 2022 measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on valid prices reached 12.65 trillion rupiah, while on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached 7.99 trillion rupiah.
The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the first quarter of 2022 experienced a growth of 0.93 percent when compared to the first quarter of 2021 (Y-on-Y). Increasing the creation of added value occurs in almost all categories of business fields. The largest source of economic growth occurs in the category of large and retail trade, car and motorcycle repairs. While in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth comes from the component of household consumption expenditure (PKRT).
The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter I-2022 experienced a contraction of 4.84 percent compared to quarter IV-2021 (Q-to-Q).
On the regional scale in the Sulawesi region of Maluku Papua, the highest economic growth in the first quarter of 2022 (Y-on-Y) occurred in North Maluku by 29.63 percent, followed by Papua by 13.33 percent and Central Sulawesi by 10.49 percent . The Sulawesi Barat experienced a growth of 0.93 percent, occupying the highest position of the ninth out of ten provinces.
