Abstract

• In January 2021, Mamuju experienced inflation of 1.43 percent. Inflation is due to the increase in the price indicated by the increase in some types of expenses, the group index of food, beverages and tobacco 3.81 percent; housing, water, electricity, and fuel 0.10 percent of households; and group personal care and other services 0.04 percent.
• The degree of change in the index in January 2021 calendar year in Mamuju recorded inflation of 1.43 percent and the rate of change in the index year-on-year (January 2021 to January 2020) showed inflation of 3.27 percent.
• Based on the Consumer Price Survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in January 2021, showed that 75 cities experienced inflation and 15 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Mamuju by 1.43 percent and the lowest in Singapore and Ambon at 0.02 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Bau-Bau low of 0.92 percent and 0.01 percent in New York City.
